12 Days of Marketing Communications. Day 9: YouTube Channels

Here’s a tip: don’t need to have video to have a presence on YouTube.  You can accomplish that with a YouTube Channel.

Plenty of companies and professionals are not ready to start recording their own video content, although Fletcher Prince makes that easy and affordable.  So, the answer in this case — if you want to take advantage of the 25% of Internet search that is processing through YouTube right now, and I know you do — is to create a branded YouTube Channel.

In 2010, we created nine new YouTube Channels for clients such as Cosmopolitan Photography and Keenan PR, in addition to the seven we already had in our portfolio.

We know how to achieve results with a YouTube Channel (even without video!) in just a few days by

  • Engineering the Channel settings for search
  • Developing playlists and favorites
  • Writing marketing copy
  • Designing a visually branded Channel (including a square version of the logo)
  • Taking full advantage of subscription features.

We have developed a system that works for our clients.  I just set up a YouTube Channel that has no video at all and in two days, it already has more than 100 Channel views.
